We’re writing with an extra special update. 

Nearly a year and a half ago, we started crafting the final chapter of swrve when we announced that we were beginning the process of winding down operations. After what’s now been 20 years of being a scrappy, nimble, and literal mom and pop operation, we decided it was time to move on to our next endeavor. The reasons were many, but we were happy with all that we were able to accomplish from an idea that began with making a single pair of knickers in a downtown LA loft. Over the decades, we carved out a nice little niche within the cycling and outdoor spaces and created some truly innovative products that put us in the crosshairs of some really big companies. 

They tried but we ended up being the last ones standing. 

And today, we’re thrilled to announce that swrve is going to have a second life. 

In a process that started several months ago, we’re officially turning swrve over to a new owner. 

We’ll share more details in the near future but the matchup couldn’t be more ideal. 

If you’ve ever spent time in the bike world, then you know it’s more of a small town than a booming metropolis populated with anonymous workers. Everyone seemingly knows everyone, and if you don’t, the degrees of separation have been whittled down from six to two.

While we never officially met until our first Zoom call, we quickly discovered we had a ton of mutual acquaintances and those friends all had wonderful things to say about us and the person who will be leading swrve through the next chapters of its journey. Little did we know we were both asking some of the same people for their insight on the potential of a new start for swrve during the early stages of our discussion. 

It was the kind of kismet you only see in the movies and we realized swrve’s new owner was the one we didn’t know we’d been looking for all along. 

Our relationship became official at the start of the month, so that means it’s time to get serious about handing over the keys.
