HOW MUCH IS THE SHIPPING COST?
shipping cost is determined by the package weight and destination.
we offer FREE US ground shipping on orders $150+
for domestic (US) customers USPS Priority is usually the fastest, least expensive option. to get an accurate shipping cost, please add the items to your cart and enter your mailing address at check out, the system will give you an estimate for shipping with various USPS and UPS options.
for international customers we suggest using DHL as it tends to be the best deal. It will arrive at your doorstep, regardless of where you are in the world, within 5 business days, and you get to track it as it makes its way to you. USPS Priority and First Class Mail may be a bit less expensive, but they have a higher tendency to lose packages. Please note that we are NOT responsible for lost packages! UPS rates tend to be rather exorbitant and you may be faced with a custom brokerage fee NOT included in the shipping rate.
international customers: please note that you may be charged additional customs duty fees at delivery NOT included in the shipping rate. these fees vary widely from country to country and there is nothing we can do to prevent them.
attention Canadian customers! our system will offer you UPS as a shipping option that may seem attractive, but we suggest NOT using UPS for orders going to Canada as they sometimes present you with a separate and additional customs clearance bill (on top of the customs duty) for $50 or more. eek!
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY PACKAGE TO ARRIVE?
We ship Monday through Thursday and we try to process all orders within 24 hours, but we are a small company it may occasionally take slightly longer. please note that orders received after noon PST may not be processed until the following day.
Domestic (US) delivery times are as follows:

WHAT SIZE SHOULD I BUY?
please refer to our handy size charts for each product (in the sizing tab for each product) for more detailed information.
select a pair of pants/knicks/shorts that fit well, lay them flat and make sure the front and back of the waistband lay evenly across each other, then measure from side to side (on the inside), multiply by 2 (there are 2 layers of fabric) and voilà, you’ve got your measurement.

YOU'RE SOLD OUT OF A PRODUCT I WANT. WILL YOU RESTOCK?
usually! we try to keep all the sizes and colors for each garment in stock, but sometimes we run out. if a garment is in season, expect re-stocking relatively soon, though due to our high demand and limited sewing it can take up to 6 weeks. for garments out of season in the northern hemisphere, it may take until the start of the season for us to be able to have them in stock again.
please note that swrve_blk garments are typically limited edition and these may not be restocked in the exact color or fabric you are interested.
CAN YOU EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT CUTS YOU OFFER?
we offer 4 basic cuts: skinny, slim, regular, and sprinter cut.
our skinny cut is our trimmest cut: in this cut the fabric sits next to the skin. it has a ton of stretch that will move with the body.
our slim cut is not quite as close-fitting as our skinny fit, i.e. it does not sit next to the skin when worn, but it is a bit trimmer than our regular fit.
our regular fit is our standard fit. it is more akin to a European fit rather than the more roomy American fit. in this cut there will be a gap between your skin and the fabric.
DO YOU OFFER ALTERATIONS BEFORE SENDING MY ORDER?
no, unfortunately we are unable to alter garments. however, any local tailor should be able to make alterations for you.
DO YOU HAVE A GUARANTEE ON YOUR PRODUCTS?
yes! we like to think of our clothing as indestructible, but alas nothing is. we warrant every product we make to be free of manufacturer or material defects. if any garment of ours require repairs not due to normal wear and tear, we are happy to do it. we stand behind our product, and on the rare occasion that one of our garments has an issue, we want to know about it.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY GARMENTS?
please follow the care instructions sewn into your garment.
In general:
as a general rule, we suggest washing in cold or warm water, and drying in tumble dry low or laying flat to dry. high heat combined with agitation will shorten the lifespan of any garment; the colors will fade, the fabric will shrink, reflective bits will lose their reflectivity, the DWR treatment’s lifespan will shorten, and other terrible developments will occur.
DWR:
our lightweight fabric, mid-weight fabric, and durable cotton fabric garments are treated with a DWR (durable water resistant) treatment. it penetrates the fibers and lowers the surface tension of the fabric, causing water to bead up and roll off the outer layer of fabric instead of being absorbed, thus making the fabric water resistant. DWR is not permanent, though. Regular wear and tear, plus exposure to dirt, detergents, and other impurities can shorten its lifespan. The good news is that we have had great success with restoring the water repellency with Nixwax products.

Wax jackets:
all wax jackets require special care and cleaning. we actually love this about our wax jackets; it’s rare one gets to develop a relationship with a garment, but with these, if you treat them right, and they will last a lifetime.
the main idea in caring for your wax jacket is to maintain the wax coating. it’s easy to do: periodically look over your coat paying special attention to high-friction areas to find any dry patches. if come across any, just apply some warmed thornproof dressing to the area. once or twice a year, depending on use, apply dressing to the whole coat, paying particular attention to the shoulders, neck seams, creases, forearms, pockets and any other areas you notice tend to dry out more than others. if you need to make repairs to the outer fabric make sure you treat the new fabric and the stitches with dressing to assure water-resistance. use only dressing intended specifically for reproofing and make sure to follow directions on the tin.
to clean your wax jacket just brush off dry dirt or wipe down outer fabric with cold water. there are a few obvious dont’s: do not wash with soap, detergent, or hot water. do not dry clean, starch or iron. do not store we garment in a confined area. do not hang garment on radiators, expose to flame, or apply any direct heat.

no, unfortunately we are not set up to take custom orders.
WHERE ARE YOUR GARMENTS MADE?
as we have grown our small in-house workshop is not longer sufficient to supply the demand for our stuff. we have partnered with a few factories around the world to produce our clothes to our strict high quality standards. we have also made sure that these factories follow strict humane and ethical principles and have pleasant working conditions and fair wages for their workers. we use third-party verification of this including the apparel industry standard WRAP certification. find out more about WRAP here : www.wrapcompliance.org/
if you prefer to have your garments made in the US, our _blk label line will always be made either in our in-house shop, or for a few select pieces where we lack the expertise or tradition, we will partner with the experts in the field. an example is our wax cotton jacket that is made in Manchester by a company that has been making waxed cotton garments and other fine apparel since 1917.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE REGULAR SWRVE LINE AND THE SWRVE _BLK LABEL LINE?
the primary difference between swrve and swrve_blk is that the swrve_blk label line is limited to much smaller runs of garments, produced in-house in our Los Angeles facility, using brand-name fabrics, and with a few extra special trim details.

we accept all unworn and unwashed garments within 30 days of receipt.
for sale items, we offer credit but no refunds. we are little flexible on this on reasonable requests; for example, you buy 2 of the same item to see which size works better, we will refund you for the one you send back.
please note that all altered garments, including custom hemmed items are NOT RETURNABLE.
HOW DO I MAKE A RETURN OR EXCHANGE?
all exchanges and refunds accepted within 30 days of receipt.
to send a return or exchange, please follow this link to go to our return center to get your RMA number and get approved. then send unused and unwashed item/s in to swrve hq. if you need to make a change to your return request once you have sent in your return package, please email in to orders@swrve.us to provide any additional information.
